Words can't describe how much I appreciate the woman who runs the Bay Motel! I have been homeless for almost 3 years! I finally stopped being stubborn and got in contact with the VA and they were able to get me a motel room here until we can get apartment arrangements figured out. (Been here 2 1/2 weeks so far.) I've read some reviews on here that say that the lady who works here is rude, short tempered, crabby, etc... Well... If anyone took an extra 2 minutes and talked with her or if they really thought about it, they would learn that she's actually an EXTREMELY wonderful person! She's caring, patient, empathetic, trustworthy and so much more!! For those of you that think her job is 'easy'... Guess again! She is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 365 days! She doesn't have a lunch hour, a smoking break, nor does she have a day off!! Everyday she has at least 1 room to clean but it could be more than 10! People are disgusting and lazy at times and I'm sure they don't pick up after themselves like they should! Can you imagine what kinda messes she's responsible for?! Not to mention the way that some guests have treated her? We all do what we need to do to protect ourselves from life's bull crap! If she didn't have her guard up or had boundaries than she would be walked all over and taken advantage of!! So give her a break! She's human. Just like all of us! I'll tell ya what... If I ever need a room in the future... I'll always choose Bay Motel first! And it's because of her kindness that I will!!

The lady who runs the place does literally EVERYTHING. The desk, laundry, cleaning, everything. She does a wonderful job at keeping everything up and moving. Have patience with her. She may be a bit cranky at times. Give her some grace. She's generally very easy to get along with, chat, joke, and provides great service. She's very understanding that life happens and has compassion for people. Her rooms are CLEAN. Not spot clean like most budget places, but actually clean. I'm kind of neurotic about checking every little thing and cleaning when we check into a room. When I saw the room, I didn't feel the need/anxiety to search or clean. There wasn't even dust on top of the headboard, counters, or appliances. She's good. We have been staying at her motel for a little while now. She generally goes in and cleans longer stay guest's rooms every 3 days. Provides clean towels, linens, toiletries, whatever you need. 6G wifi, cable, phone, hairdryer, coat closet, full sized microwave and small refrigerator with little freezer unit. Weekly rates available. No pets.
